On John and Jessica's wedding day, his new bride surprised him with something most men can only dream of getting as a wedding present... a new Ducati motorcycle. While most guys feel a sense of pride, that they're the luckiest man on earth the day they finally decide to get hitched... John had a better reason than most for feeling that way.
It was a beautiful evening ceremony in early Oregon summer- taking place at McMenamin's Edgefield set just outside of Portland by about 30 minutes. Specific plans were all in place and confirmed... masterminded and executed by his lovely bride-to-be.
As the couple said their vows, Arun snuck off to move the motorcycle in place. John and Jessica say I do, lay a big wet smooch on one another... and everyone stands to share a song. At this point, John says some words about his beautiful and amazing wife who is, little beknownst to him, about to become exponentially more beautiful and amazing. Jessica takes the stage and begins to say her piece, her thank yous, etc... then she finally gets to Arun. She tells John how wonderful Arun has been to help her get him his first Ducati… but Arun is no where to be found. WAIT- just then, the Officiant's phone rings. How inappropriate! But wait… it's for John, the groom.
John hesitantly takes the phone to find Arun on the other end and hears, "go look out the window."
As John walks to the window and peers out, he sees his brand new Ducati Multistrada with a huge red bow.
As you can imagine, he was instantly overcome with joy for landing such a super lady.
Then his attention turned to his sweet new ride for a few minutes. You can see the excitement in his face.
We're faiirly sure Jessica was as excited about giving it to him as John was to receive it. Here she is doing a little jig for her masterplan working flawlessly.
And to end the night... some fun Ducati wear for later.
Jessica the day she bought the bike from us in our infamous red room.
Ladies, take note. The way to a man's heart is not through his stomach, but through his motorcycle.
